ARTIST NOTES: Camaldulensis 1 is a drone photograph taken near Wallaroo in South Australia. The patterns reminded us of the Eucalyptus camaldulensis-the most widespread species of eucalypt in Australia. It is a gracious riverine tree in both permanent or seasonal water. Its common name is the River Red Gum and ‘she’ can live to 700 years or more. She drops her limbs in times of stress holding on so tight with her roots so firmly planted in the earth. This artwork is a pigment ink print on archival quality canvas.
