Janelle Amos is a regional based artist in the Barossa working from her family vineyard acrage on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Seppeltsfield.
Janelle's work is heavily informed by her vast natural rural environment and her direct experience of the elements, expressing the felt sense of the world around her through multiple diciplines. Janelle's work, no matter the medium, stirs a lucid resonance held in shape, line and colour, a visual expression of the unspoken, unseen moments within ordinary everyday life, tender moments of meaning and belonging to ones own life’s experience.
Working in both acrylics on varying surfaces to create emotive abstracts, aswell as photography through her 'Self Pollinate' Nature Mandala print series, Janelle aspires to transmute human experience and emotion into works of art that speak of the very core of who she is, and therefore to the very core of the viewer. Janelle's work motivates human connection and often holds a focus on the beauty of lifes imperfection. |
