ARTIST NOTES: Nest is a black and white abstract image of a nest. This image was recently awarded Commended in the Place category in The Mono Awards, 2019 - the inaugural Australia and New Zealand competition for black and white photography by Australian Photography & Capture Magazine. This artwork looks more like an etching rather than a drone photograph and was taken on the basin of the Murray River at Swan Reach. It has a strong political message behind it about the contemporary issues of climate change and the political debate about water allocations along the Murray Darling river system. Nest is a pigment ink print photograph on archival canvas with a semi-gloss texture.
