Rubi Cassidy
Born in Manly, Sydney
Won a five year scholarship to the National Art School at age 16.
After graduating worked for Lintas Advertising as a Junior Art Director but after marrying, took a position with the NSW Education Department as an art teacher before being employed as an Illustrator attached to the Commonwealth Curriculum Development Unit.
From the late 1980’s traveled extensively while doing freelance design and teaching Flamenco dance. Producing, choreographing and designing the sets for a number of theatre shows that were highly acclaimed.
Currently working full time as a visual artist painting Urban and Rural Landscapes primarily.
